Pensioners
Check Winter Fuel Payment and whether you keep it. If your income is low, look at Pension Credit too. It opens the door to other help.
After a death
If you are on a qualifying benefit and paying for a funeral, you may get help with the cost for up to 6 months afterwards.
Expecting a baby
If it is your first child and you get Universal Credit, apply for the £500 grant from 11 weeks before your due date.
